Around 3 years back 'Rosy' started a schoo by name 'Sharada vidya mandir'l for the rag pickers and the begging children. Chanda Nagar railway station is her place of action. Everyone of us would have experienced the helpless situations of watching children cleaning the floor in the compartments of the station and begging.
We were very happy to see a sustainable effort to bring a change in their lives. The problem is most of these children have parents who are focussed in earning their livelihood from the begging of their children.
We starting supporting this home from the month of 'september'. We started it with 2400Rs a month, Later in the a span of 3 months, we started giving 4500 per month. Now, we are giving 5200 Rs per month.
We buy around 170+ Kgs rice with this amount and deliver to the home. We conducted some weekend classes for children, if anyone is interested in conducting weekend sessions, we will be happy to start them again.
Recently they built a home in the land given by a donor.
